FOH helps celebrate “National Walk at Lunch Day

OPM awards
Congressman Zach Wamp (R, TN) and Assistant Secretary for Health John Agwunobi lead a group of federal employees on National Walk @ Lunch Day, and the kickoff of the Capitol Hill Challenge on April 18, 2007.

On Wednesday, April 18th, FOH staff and other federal representatives devoted their lunchtime to a brisk walk around Capitol Hill to help celebrate National Walk at Lunch Day. This new national program promotes physical activity by encouraging employees to take a 30-minute walk on their lunch break. Members of Congress also kicked off the fifth annual Capitol Hill Challenge. Teams from both Houses join forces during this six-week competition to see which team can log in the most walking hours. FOH encourages all federal workers to follow in our leaders’ footsteps by walking at lunchtime.
