The World Health Organization has emphasized the health benefits for infants who are breastfed. A universal goal is for children all over the world to be given breastmilk exclusively for the first six months of life.
FOH acknowledges that working women may have difficulty achieving this goal. In order to support new mothers’ efforts to breastfeed their children, FOH offers the use of quiet, private clinic rooms in many of its health centers as one small way to help. If your agency participates in FOH’s Occupational Health Center services, contact your Health Center today to learn more.
