FOH operates three fully equipped and accredited Environmental Reference Laboratories that specialize in industrial hygiene, environmental, microbiological as well as asbestos and fine particle analyses. FOH labs are staffed with highly skilled scientists, chemists, microbiologists and environmental specialists who work in partnership with Federal managers. Our staff provides assistance with industrial hygiene, hazard assessments, environmental monitoring techniques and ways to limit potential exposures. The FOH lab staff also provides advice and consultation regarding sampling protocol, sampling preservation and chain of custody concerns.

Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Laboratory (Chicago, IL)
This lab is equipped to analyze potentially contaminated sources for harmful chemical compounds in air, water and soil samples. The lab provides consultation on sampling strategies and interpretation of analytical results.
Environmental Microbiology Laboratory (Philadelphia, PA)
This lab is equipped to provide air and water-borne microbial contamination analytical services as well as consultation on mold growth, water intrusion and fungal remediation.
Asbestos and Fine Particle Analysis Laboratory (Denver, CO)
This lab is equipped to provide analyses for the presence, type and quantity of asbestos in federal buildings.
