FOH is doing its part to help Federal employees improve their health and combat the current health crisis associated with overweight and sedentary lifestyle. FOH’s Nutrition and Weight Management Services brings convenient programs and resources to the worksite to give employees the support they need to improve their health and quality of life.

Here are just a few ways FOH helps employees stay healthy at work:

  • Lighten Up! with FOH – An eight-week modular course that uses weekly group presentations to teach important basics about nutrition, exercise, and healthy choices that are necessary for successful weight management. Sessions are free to agency employees participating in FOH Health Center Services agreements.

  • HealthyFocus4You – A web-based personalized health information resource that helps people identify health risks and susceptibility to illnesses, and provides information about specific actions they can take to improve their overall health and well-being.

  • Weight Watchers® at Work – FOH has developed a partnership with one of the most trusted names in weight management to bring weekly Weight Watchers® meetings to the workplace. Standard fees are paid directly by employees to Weight Watchers®’ certified instructors. In addition to the convenience of onsite meetings, some discounts are available for Weight Watchers’ online subscription services and at-home kits for those who are unable or not interested in attending the meetings. Weight Watchers® at work programs last about 12 weeks.

  • WalkingWorks Program – To compliment the nutrition and weight management resources noted above, FOH is also working with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association to bring their WalkingWorks Program to our health and fitness centers. WalkingWorks is a structured program that provides tips, tracking and incentives designed to encourage walking as a daily activity to improve health and fitness.
FOH is committed to improving the health of the federal workforce and is an important resource to federal agencies and their employees seeking to improve health and fitness. Contact us today!
