Overview:
This course is designed for agencies that require their own employees to erect, dismantle and inspect common scaffolds up to five meters in height. OSHA's scaffold safety standard requires that employees who perform work while on a scaffold must be trained to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. This one-day course satisfies the standard's training requirements. Course topics include: hazards from falls, being struck by falling objects, electrical hazards, proper use of the scaffold, proper handling of materials on the scaffold, and maximum intended load of the scaffold.
Duration:
This training lasts eight hours.

| Two-Day Scaffolding Limited Erectros and Dismantlers - Frame, Tube, and Clamp System

Overview:
This course is designed for agencies that require their own employees to erect, dismantle and inspect common scaffolds up to five meters in height. Employees are trained to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. In addition to the material introduced in the one-day course, the following topics are also addressed:
- Components of frame, tube and clamp systems,
- Guys, ties and braces
- Buttresses, cantilevers, and bridges
Duration:
This training lasts sixteen hours.

| Three-Day Scaffolding (Frame, Tube, and Clamp System) - Competent Person
|

This training is intended for the designated competent persons/oversight responsibilities for supported scaffolding. Training course content will be accomplished in accordance with the Scaffold Training Institute (STI) three-day competent person training curriculum and will cover all aspects supported scaffolding. Training will include one day of hands-on practice with supported scaffolding.
The course content meets the requirements for an OSHA Competent Person as set forth in its scaffolding standard, and also meets the requirements specified by the Scaffold Industry Association (SIA) Competent Person Professional Scaffolder’s Training.
Duration:
This training lasts 24 hours.

| Five-Day Scaffolding (Three-Day Plus Suspension)-Competent Person

This training is intended for the designated competent persons/oversight responsibilities for both supported and suspended scaffolding. Training course content will be done in accordance with the Scaffold Training Institute (STI) five day Scaffolding Professional training curriculum and will cover all aspects of both supported and suspended scaffolding. Training will include two days of hands-on practice with supported and suspended scaffolding.
The course content meets the requirements for an OSHA Competent Person as set forth in its scaffolding standard, and also meets the requirements specified by the Scaffold Industry Association (SIA) Competent Person Professional Scaffolding Training.
Duration:
This course lasts five days.

| Four-Hour Scaffolding User Awareness

This class provides a general overview of scaffolding and is designed to help the scaffold user recognize the hazards on various types of scaffolds. The course content covers the specific OSHA scaffolding requirements, as well as prohibited scaffolding activities. Participants will learn about the five major scaffold hazards including falls, access/egress, falling objects, electrocutions, and scaffold collapse.
Duration:
This is a four-hour course.
