But, knowing how and when to access specific medical expertise and worker’s compensation professionals is critical. Simply controlling usage doesn’t necessarily contain costs. FOH offers a combination of consulting and professional services to meet your injury/illness and medical employability concerns.

The FOH Approach:

Research has consistently shown that after an illness or injury, the best route for an employee is to return to a work/life routine as soon as possible.

Also, a growing body of research indicates the psychosocial aspects of workplace behavior play a critical role in the development of a disability and the speed with which the employee returns-to-work (RTW). Key aspects include

  • supervisors' engagement in the process of RTW and
  • The speed with which the employee returns to a supportive work group.
Unfortunately, to date, management of disability and workers' compensation has relied almost solely on the medical cause of absence, without considering the behavioral aspects of physical disability.
